I would be happy to answer that question for you.  The Lodge EC1D43 1.5 quart Red Dutch Oven is great to broil, braise, bake or roast in the oven up to 500° F.  Rims are black matte enamel, cooking surface is off-white enamel.

I've been wanting one of these Dutch Ovens for a while.  Walmart's sale and free delivery made it reasonable to but the oven now.

It I a real good size for two people. I took fried rice in it to a party and it stay warm for a long time. The bigger ones are too heavy but this was just right.  I cooked chicken  thighs and broth when you just need a small amount and it worked perfect. I will probably use it the most to cook vegetables.

Beautiful pot

This is the 3rd piece of Lodge Dutch Oven purchased through Walmart in recent months. I have used them to make several things: bread, beef stew, pasta, etc. They do very well in the oven as well as on the stove top to just heat vegetables, boil potatoes, etc. too. I am disregarding my stainless steel cookware because of the even heat cooking ability of the enameled cast iron on my electric stove. I don't put them in the dishwasher, just a quick and easy clean up in the sink. I ordered through Walmart and had them shipped to my local store with free shipping and a very easy pickup.

When you can't afford the very best of the best (French) the cookware from Lodge fulfilled by dreams.  I've ordered each size of the enamel and only spend what it would have cost for one FRENCH cookware.  Love it!

Cookware I can Afford

I bought this one for my Mom and Dad and they Love it..."It's sooooo cute" . The perfect size for them. They wanted a small cast iron dutch oven and I got them this one because I have two Lodge cast iron Dutch ovens in different sizes. I have had alot of different cast iron cook wear and this is by far the best. It cleans so easily and it cooks great.

Uses

Well, it is cute.  Came very well packaged -- no damage whatever.  Only 4 *s because I have not actually used it yet.  It is quite heavy for its small size.  Just hoping the enamel doesn't flake off.  And I won't know that until I use it a few times.  It looks well made with no wrinkles or thin spots in the enamel.  It is a Lodge, after all, and probably deserves all 5 *s.  Just not yet.

To all that are interested. I called Lodge about this issue of being made in China. It is made in China. The customer service person said Lodge now will out source (meaning China) if they cannot find a manufacturer in USA that produces some types (like Enamel) of Cast Iron. What? They can't find someone in USA that apply Enamel to Cast Iron? Total Disappointment in Lodge. They also will not notify on products if it's NOT made in USA. Only can find out when you get product and it states it on box. Lodge now is no longer a trusted product which is a complete shame. Will never buy from this company again.
